We feel the urgency of the world’s plight, and it is our responsibility as filmmakers to show up fully and amplify the voices of those leading the change. We believe, whole heartedly, that each of us has the power to make a difference in the world. And for us, film is the medium we are designed for to make our positive contribution. We create stories that inspire people to be good stewards of themselves, their communities and the planet. We create stories that enliven the human spirit and encourage personal transformation, because in order to make big impact in the world, we believe you must go within first. Our work is equally one part art, and one part rallying cry for change that propels an audience to do so.
Now is the time to leverage the power of collective action to turn the tide on our most challenging systemic issues. To Filmmaking
For you to tell your story with honesty and vulnerability takes a huge amount of courage. These are often the stories that have the greatest potential to move the needle on an issue or aspect of culture, and creates an emotional bridge with the viewer that accelerates change. We approach each project with the intention of telling an honest story that is true to the film subject’s experience and perspective. We promise to never project our ideas about the story onto our subjects, and always allow space for curiosity, learning and growth to happen organically throughout the course of our engagement. We immerse in a co-creative process where we work intimately and respectfully with film subjects to ensure each film is doing their story justice and representing them and their community in truth. By approaching each project with sensitivity and care, we create a container that feels safe for all participants.
Jessica Miller, Founder and Director of Superbloom, has been story producing, media making, and channeling her creativity into the film medium for over a decade. She is a multi-passionate and versatile producer and director with extensive experience orchestrating productions of all sizes for a variety of clientele with the social change and sustainability sector. She thrives in details and logistics, but is truly energized by creating projects that inspire and turn a light on in people. In her free time, she enjoys engaging in all of the recreational activities her home state of Colorado has to offer with her husband and two pups, Kiedis and Jubilee.
